I work in a pretty large office and the Wi-Fi signal there is pretty bad. I always have terrible connectivity and range, this has caused me issues every time I open my mail and load it. I was unable to even watch a small video without it buffering constantly. Everyone in the office was really tired of having such a terrible connection.
Since I was the IT guy I had the authority to actually solve the issue and so I did. I searched online for the best networking solution that would be suitable for an office as big as this. I found the perfect candidate. It was the Linksys router. It offered very high speeds and range at a lower price than its counterparts in the market. I did the setup using the myrouter.local link. I have now been using it for quite some time now and the speeds and range have never been better. Gone are the days where you spent the whole day complaining about terrible connectivity. This was an amazing purchase. To emphasize I got nearly double the speeds and range that I get from a conventional router. Linksys is really out here making a name for themselves. Let’s dive in to have a more conventional look.

Setting up the router
I gotta say it, I was really surprised by how easy it was. I mean honestly, anyone can do it, it doesn’t matter who it is just anyone who can read the instruction and do the job and set up the router. There are a number of ways to set-up the router, I am just putting it out there as different people have different needs and they all look for different ways to set-up. However, I will be mentioning a few ways to set-up the router. First, you need to unpack the device and place it in your area of choice and plug it in. Then open your laptop and connect it with your router using an Ethernet cable or you can also connect it with your smartphone and laptop as well wirelessly. Then all you need to do is open any web browser and just type in the hyperlink http://myrouter.local and that will open the setup page where you need to enter the login credentials in order to set-up.
After setting the SSID and password plug in the internet cable to the router to start the internet connection.
The alternative method to setup the Linksys router
All of this can seem overwhelming and complicated for some people but it’s not so if you feel that you won’t be able to do this then just plug in your router and turn it on then download the Linksys app and open it then click the plus sign to add a new device after that scan your surroundings then select the Linksys router as the new device. Once that is done you can change your router settings as per your wish. If at any step you are unable to visit or access the http //myrouter.local page then just follow the instructions given below as these issues have been known to occur and can be easily solved.
Router troubleshooting
If you are reading this then that means you have encountered an issue with the myrouter.local router setup. That’s a relatively simple issue to resolve and it doesn’t take a lot of time either. Just try switching the router on and off, if that doesn’t work then open your Linksys app and run the troubleshooter as it will automatically detect and solve any software issue. However, if the troubleshooter failed to resolve your issue then there’s only one thing left to do and it is guaranteed to fix your router as it changes all the settings back to their default. That step is the factory resetting your device. In order to factory reset your router press the reset button at the back of the router or you can reset it from the app. When the router is being reset it will be non-functional so don’t do anything to it. After the reset makes sure to carefully set it up again in order to avoid such silly issues.
